[Hiring] Director, Clinician Engagement @DataSpring

1wk ago - DataSpring is hiring a remote Director, Clinician Engagement. πŸ’Έ Salary: usd 200,000 - 245,000 per year πŸ“Location: USA

Role Description

Clinician Engagement is a new function at DataSpring, created to deepen the relationship between DataSpring and the clinicians and provider organizations who contribute to and rely on our data. The function exists to increase trust and positive perception within the clinician user community, improve the quality of the data clinicians provide, and grow the volume of clinicians in our database, including the number who are active and attested.

The Director, Clinician Engagement leads this function. The position builds and stewards the forums where clinicians and provider staff shape our direction, develops partnerships with the provider organizations clinicians already trust, and serves as DataSpring's internal subject matter expert on clinician perspective. The role accelerates the reach and credibility of work already underway across Marketing, Product, and Insights by bringing clinician voice and clinician relationships to it.

This role spans strategy and execution. The Director sets direction and holds the senior relationships, and also does the hands-on work of running councils, managing partner relationships week to week, and synthesizing what clinicians say into direction the rest of the organization can act on. Success depends on convening the right clinicians, earning their sustained participation, and closing the loop so they see their input reflected in what DataSpring builds and says.

The Director, Clinician Engagement is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the Chief Medical Officer. This position will require the ability to travel up to 20% of the time for council meetings, site visits, association events, and industry forums.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in provider relations, clinician engagement, healthcare operations, medical affairs, professional association management, credentialing, or a related healthcare field, with progressive leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience in provider-facing, clinician engagement, medical affairs, association relations, provider network, or healthcare stakeholder management roles.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with senior clinical stakeholders, provider organizations, and healthcare industry leaders.
  • Experience leading advisory boards, councils, committees, user groups, or similar stakeholder engagement programs.
  • Experience standing up a new function, program, committee, or stakeholder forum strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a health plan, health IT, healthcare data, healthcare services, credentialing, or healthcare association environment preferred.
  • Experience with provider credentialing processes and/or credentialing committees preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, a clinical discipline, or a related field required.
  • Physicians and other licensed clinicians are encouraged to apply; non-clinical candidates with significant experience in credentialing, provider relations, professional associations, or healthcare stakeholder engagement will also be considered.

Requirements

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative initiatives.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with provider organizations, specialty societies, and medical associations.
  • Fluency in the clinician and provider staff experience, including credentialing, attestation, provider directory data, and administrative workflow.
  • Ability to translate qualitative stakeholder input into clear, prioritized recommendations for product, marketing, and research teams.
  • Executive presence and credibility with both clinical leadership and internal executive audiences.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex discussion into briefs, PowerPoint presentations, and recommendations.
  • Ability to develop and deliver clinician-facing and clinician-staff facing content, including webinars, presentations, and continuing education materials.
  • Effective at influencing without authority and at building cross-functional support for new initiatives.
  • Strong project management discipline, with comfort operating without established process and building programs from the ground up.
  • Understanding of how clinician sentiment connects to organizational priorities, with the ability to anticipate how input will be used in decisions.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple initiatives and follow work plans.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; working knowledge of CRM and survey tools is desired.
  • Maintains an intellectual curiosity about how to accomplish goals through stakeholder and industry collaboration.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with company contributions and matching.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Tuition assistance.
  • Generous paid time off.
  • Commitment to investing in our people and supporting professional growth over time.
