[Hiring] Digital Literacy Consultant @Women for Women International

Role Description

WfWI seeks to engage a Digital Literacy Consultant to design and integrate context-appropriate digital literacy modules and participatory exercises into an existing contextualized social empowerment curriculum implemented in Federal Iraq and the KRI. The assignment aims to strengthen women’s digital agency—their ability to safely access, use, and navigate digital spaces in ways that educate and support confidence building, social participation, and collective empowerment.

• Ensure that digital literacy content reinforces broader social empowerment outcomes, including confidence, solidarity, leadership, wellbeing, and civic engagement, without increasing risks to participants.
• Deliver the following:
  • An inception report
  • A contextualized digital literacy module and exercise integration framework, in alignment with WfWI’s Social Empowerment curriculum
  • Digital literacy learning modules adapted for camp and non-camp settings in Federal Iraq and the KRI
  • Validated participatory learning exercises and activity descriptions
  • A final consultancy summary report detailing consultancy products and recommendations for next steps

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in digital literacy, digital inclusion, or digital rights programming
• Experience working on women’s empowerment or social norms change in Federal Iraq, the KRI, or comparable contexts
• Strong understanding of TFGBV and digital safety in conservative or conflict-affected settings
• Proven curriculum design and participatory learning experience
• Fluency in Arabic and/or Kurdish is a strong asset
