[Hiring] Design and Construction Coordination/ Document Support @Fluor

Role Description

The Design and Construction Coordination Support/Document Control team member coordinates activities between the Program Delivery Services (PDS) Civil Infrastructure Engineering (CIE) team and the Construction Packages’ Project Construction Manager (PCM)/other sections/consultants/stakeholders. The role coordinates the review of:

• Request for Information (RFI)
• Non-conformance Reports (NCR)
• Quality Milestone Data Pack (QMDP)
• Bridge Quality Assessment Reports
• Design Variance Request (DVR)

They attend all meetings related to the construction packages and lead submittal review meetings. They ensure all documentation related to the submittal reviews is adequately archived and maintain an organized and systematic project document control. Works closely with CIE staff, Rail Engineering, and Construction Services on the Program for any related needs.

Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study
• Ten (10) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed
• Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious manner

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in engineering/construction document control and coordination
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field
• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering or construction (preferably Design-Build, Rail, Transit, or Civil Infrastructure)
• Strong project and/or construction management background
• Knowledge of design Build Transportation Projects, with an emphasis in structures
• Ability to understand structural and/or civil engineering design and construction
• Ability to work with others in a team environment
• Willingness and ability to take the initiative and work remotely
• Strong communication skills

Salary Range

$96,500.00 - $179,500.00
