[Hiring] Cribl Data Pipeline Engineer @TEKsystems

Role Description

This is a remote contract opportunity - Not open to C2C or subcontracting.

A Cribl SME is the principal engineer for telemetry and observability pipelines, combining data engineering, platform engineering, security, governance, and AIOps expertise to ensure the right data reaches the right tool at the right time and cost.

• Review current Cribl setups and build detailed plans for scaling data ingestion and normalization.
• Handle user management, role-based access control (RBAC), and platform auditing.
• Connect pipelines with AI tools, SIEMs (like Splunk), and log management platforms.
• Fine-tune data routing and cut down processing costs for large-scale machine data.
• Covers advanced, flexible architecture design to reduce, enrich, and control data.
• Tests real-world strategy, data lifecycle management, optimization, and architectural design.

Qualifications

• Experience in observability, AIOps, event correlation, monitoring, automation, analytics, and enterprise IT operations, preferably within large-scale, mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge on how these tools interconnect to other platforms.
• Ability to size the connection pipes between systems and maintain the hardware or services that support them.
• Demonstrated success in similar observability or NOC environments.
• Strong foundational skills in monitoring, operations, network engineering, systems engineering, or observability.
• Ability to quickly learn and become productive on the target platforms.
• Experience with related platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Elastic, Datadog, ServiceNow Event Management, SolarWinds, Prometheus, or Open Telemetry is desirable.

• CCOE Admin or CCOE Engineer L3 cert.

Company Description

This is a Contract position based out of Henrico, VA.

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
