Role Description

We are seeking a skilled contractor to run Quantemol-EC software to obtain electron impact cross-sections for our chemistries (gas phase). The ideal candidate will have experience with Quantemol-EC and a strong background in computational chemistry or related fields.

• Operate Quantemol-EC software to generate electron impact cross-sections.
• Analyze and interpret the results (including literature validation wherever available) to support our modeling efforts.
• Collaborate with our team to integrate findings into our projects.
• Provide detailed reports and documentation of the results.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Quantemol-EC software (or similar software).
• Strong background in computational chemistry, physics, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in the semiconductor industry plasma modeling.
• Familiarity with electron impact cross-section calculations (R-matrix).
• Experience with DFT/MD (Discrete functional theory/Molecular Dynamics) modeling.
• Colocation with the modeling team in Austin (other areas: Fremont, Tualatin, Boston).

Benefits

• Rate: $80/hr W2.
