[Hiring] Commercial Casualty Supervisor, Complex Claims @CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer

Role Description

As a Commercial Casualty Supervisor, Complex Claims, you will supervise complex 1st and 3rd party auto and commercial injury claims, including litigation file handling for minor to complex litigated claims. You will be responsible for supervising claims in multiple states virtually.

• Evaluate coverage questions and provide decisions associated with approval.
• Provide guidance and settlement authority on cases above representative’s authority.
• Manage First Notice of Loss injury queue and act as claims Liaison in partner states.

Your Work

• Operations Management
  • Oversee investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of claims.
  • Provide technical guidance to adjusters.
  • Direct daily business unit operations.
  • Establish and monitor employee performance goals.
  • Monitor claims quality and customer service performance.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
  • Participate in specialty Committee Review Processes.
  • Recommend improvements to operational plans and processes.
  • Support staffing and financial management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Performance Management
  • Identify employee training needs and coordinate development opportunities.
  • Promote employee growth and development.
  • Manage employee performance through evaluations and appraisals.
  • Communicate and enforce organizational policies.
• Claims Procedures
  • Oversee claim investigations and resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with Commercial Auto claims procedures.
  • Oversee timely investigation and resolution of complaints.
• Casualty Litigation Oversight
  • Oversee performance of internal and external counsel.
  • Manage client communications on litigation matters.
  • Monitor and report on extra-contractual cases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in progressively responsible professional and/or supervisory position within a claims environment.
• 7+ years of complex claims experience.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in handling casualty claims.
• High School (HS)/GED or 3-year customer service experience in a virtual environment.
• Must hold an Adjuster license for all applicable states or obtain license(s) within 90 days of filling position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related field.
• Two or more years of litigation experience, preferably involving Special Investigations Unit (SIU) claims.
• Professional designation or certification such as Associate in Claims (AIC), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), or ICAR.
