Role Description

The Business Systems Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving enterprise platform architecture solutions that support scalable, secure, and efficient business operations. This role partners with IT and business teams to solve complex technical challenges, lead architecture initiatives aligned with defined functional strategies, and support modernization efforts, including AI enablement, automation, integrations, and cloud transformation.

This role exists to create a more connected, reliable, and scalable operating platform across the systems that run our Finance, People/HR, Revenue Operations, and IT processes. The architect will lead through ambiguous cross-functional problems so teams can operate with greater speed, visibility, and confidence. The architect must operate with a high degree of independence, providing technical leadership for architectural decisions while aligning solutions to business objectives, security requirements, and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise systems, cloud/hybrid environments, and integration design (API, SaaS)
• Experience with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Certinia, Rippling, and Greenhouse
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A thoughtful approach to security, governance, and performance optimization
• A balance of hands-on execution and long-term architectural thinking

Requirements

• 8+ years in systems, application, or enterprise architecture (or similar roles)
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions
• Solid understanding of infrastructure, system design, and security principles
• Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams and evaluate technical solutions
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks or security/compliance standards
• Exposure to vendor selection or mentoring team members
