Role Description

Our client is seeking a senior Business Process Transformation Lead to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA ERP transformation. This person will work alongside an existing Business Process Architect to help define future-state business processes, lead requirements discussions, connect ERP and related applications, and support the migration of multiple business units and ERP environments into S/4HANA. This is a business process-focused role, not a hands-on SAP development position. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of ERP transformation, finance/accounting, business process architecture, and stakeholder leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Support a major ERP transformation involving AX, SAP, and NetSuite migration to SAP S/4HANA.
• Work alongside the existing Business Process Architect as a strategic partner and additional resource.
• Support process mapping and future-state process design across multiple business units.
• Participate in detailed business process workshops and help define L3/L4 processes.
• Lead requirements discussions across business and technology stakeholders.
• Connect ERP processes with related applications and identify cross-system requirements.
• Support finance, billing, accounting, and order-to-cash process transformation.
• Evaluate existing processes and determine where standard S/4HANA processes can be leveraged versus where alternatives are needed.
• Help drive process standardization across business units rather than simply recreating legacy processes.
• Translate business requirements into clear documentation for technology partners.
• Pressure-test proposed S/4HANA solutions from a business/process perspective.
• Identify process gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support change management and training initiatives.
• Collaborate with business leaders, technology teams, and external partners.
• Provide high-level project management support as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in business process architecture, ERP transformation, or related process consulting; 7–10 years preferred.
• Strong SAP S/4HANA experience and understanding of what the platform can support.
• Strong finance/accounting business process knowledge.
• Experience with ERP implementations, migrations, or transformations.
• Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
• Experience with billing and finance processes.
• Ability to lead requirements discussions and design future-state business processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple business units and help drive process standardization.
• Comfortable working with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and operate effectively in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Must be available for approximately 20 hours per week, with morning availability preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AX, NetSuite, or other ERP platforms in addition to SAP.
• Accounting or financial transformation background.
• Change management and training experience.
• High-level project management experience.
• Experience supporting subscription or transaction-based businesses.
• AI experience or an AI-first mindset applied to business process transformation.
• Minneapolis-area proximity for occasional in-person collaboration.
• Experience supporting multiple ERP implementations.
• Experience driving process standardization across business units.
