Role Description

We are looking for exceptional talent (PhDs or equivalent indicator of domain expertise) who can help create complex problem statements in their domain. Complexity is defined in terms of that problem requiring several hours or more for a human expert in that field to solve.

• Rate: $120/hr at 1099

Qualifications

• Thought complexity - Ability to draft complex problem statements in their domain
• Communication skills - Ability to explain in simplistic terms why the problem is complex
• Structured problem solving - Creating logically structured approaches to solving complex problems
• Attention to detail - Ability to look at the minutest level of detail in problem to ensure correctness of solution (e.g. making all assumptions explicit)
• Adaptability - Ability to adapt/apply their domain knowledge for project specific nuances (e.g. modifying problem statement to have only correct answer for subjective use-cases)
• AI familiarity - Ability to identify if AI can solve the problem or not. If AI fails, being able to identify why/ where AI is failing

Requirements

• The person should be able to create structured solutions to the problem and explain why it's complex and how long it would take for a domain expert to solve it.
• The person should also have a basic understanding of AI to determine if popular AI tools today are able to solve the problem or not.
