Role Description

The Associate Director IT Governance leads the Governance function, ensuring transparent, data-driven steering of the IT portfolio, financials, and performance across all domains and functions. The role owns the Governance operating model across Portfolio Management, Performance & Insights, and Financials & Analytics, providing consistent standards and structures for effective IT investment and delivery decisions. Leading a team of 10, the role ensures reliable performance insights, effective governance cycles, and continuous improvement of governance maturity. Success is reflected in transparent and evidence-based decision-making, consistent governance adoption, and reliable portfolio, financial, and operational performance insights.

About Your Tasks

• Design, own, and continuously improve the Governance operating model across Portfolio Management, Performance & Insights, and Financials & Analytics.
• Define and maintain governance standards for portfolio steering, performance management, and financial/vendor management.
• Establish enterprise-wide KPIs and reporting standards for reliable insight into portfolio, financial, and operational performance.
• Own and chair core governance forums covering demand management, OpEx/CapEx reviews, and architecture alignment.
• Drive standardization and automation of governance reporting for improved data quality and efficiency.
• Monitor governance maturity and adoption across domains and functions to identify improvement opportunities.
• Represent Governance in CIO Management Business Reviews for a consolidated view of portfolio, performance, and financial health.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, IT Management, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in IT governance, portfolio management, or financial management, including leadership experience.
• Proven track record of running structured governance cycles in a matrixed organization.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, operating models, and organizational design, with experience applying established frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL).
• Experience designing and implementing strategic planning, portfolio management, and performance management capabilities.
• Understanding of agile operating models and portfolio governance.
• Proven ability to design automation-first governance capabilities.
