[Hiring] AI Agent Domain SME – Accounting & Tax @Centric Consulting

Role Description

In this role, you will:

• Domain Translation & AI Enablement:
  • Translate accounting and tax workflows into structured AI agent requirements.
  • Guide development teams in building industry-specific AI agents that align with real-world accounting and tax use cases.
  • Provide decision logic frameworks, exception handling rules, and compliance guardrails.
  • Define how AI agents should interpret financial data, regulatory constraints, and reporting requirements.
• Process & Use Case Definition:
  • Identify high-value accounting and tax use cases suitable for AI agent automation.
  • Map end-to-end accounting processes (GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, reporting, tax prep, compliance, audits).
  • Define workflows and trigger-based automation models.
  • Validate AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and practicality.
• Compliance & Risk Advisory:
  • Ensure AI agent solutions align with regulatory and tax compliance requirements.
  • Identify risk areas in financial decision-making automation.
  • Provide oversight on audit-readiness and traceability standards.
  • Define documentation and explainability expectations for AI-driven decisions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with AI engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
  • Provide ongoing advisory support during development sprints.
  • Review prototypes and iterate on domain logic.
  • Support go-to-market positioning from a domain credibility standpoint.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in Accounting and/or Tax.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and tax regulations.
• Experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or financial operations.
• Ability to articulate complex accounting concepts to technical teams.
• Experience working with technology teams on digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical and structured thinking skills.

Requirements

• CPA or advanced accounting certification.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Exposure to AI, automation, RPA, or intelligent workflow solutions.
• Experience advising on AI governance or financial systems automation.
• Prior consulting experience.
