[Hiring] Manager, Independent Contractor Program @BCD Midmarket Holdings

Role Description

Are you passionate about travel, building strong relationships, and helping independent travel professionals succeed? We’re looking for an experienced travel professional to lead our Independent Contractor Program and support a growing community of independent travel advisors, with a strong focus on premium and luxury leisure travel.

• Serve as the primary connection between independent advisors, internal teams, and valued supplier partners.
• Help recruit and onboard talented advisors for the independent contractor program.
• Connect advisors with valuable resources and business opportunities.
• Strengthen supplier relationships.
• Coordinate educational and industry experiences.
• Foster an engaged advisor community.
• Stay current on travel trends and identify opportunities to enhance and expand the program.
• Establish program goals and monitor sales, profitability, recruitment, retention, and engagement.
• Collaborate across the organization to improve processes and leverage technology.
• Develop initiatives that support independent advisors while contributing to overall business growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leisure travel experience.
• At least 3 years of experience working with an independent contractor program.
• Strong understanding of leisure travel operations and the premium and luxury travel market.
• Relationship builder, strategic thinker, and effective communicator.
• Understanding and respect for the entrepreneurial nature of independent travel advisors.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of laws, regulations, and compliance considerations governing independent contractor relationships and programs, including worker classification.
• Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries between independent contractors and employees.
• Understanding of the unique needs of independent travel advisors.
• Ability to balance regulatory compliance with providing meaningful resources and business support.
• Collaborative, results-oriented leader who enjoys developing partnerships and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Ability to create an environment where independent advisors and the overall program can thrive.
