[Hiring] Account Manager @Amazon

Role Description

The AWS Startup team works alongside the world's highest-potential startups from conception to exit. Our mission is to ensure that they achieve success by accelerating their scientific, engineering, and commercial efforts through our people, technology, knowledge, programs, and relationships.

We are expanding our efforts to help our startup customers grow through a remote and data-driven salesforce. As an Account Executive, you are expected to demonstrate:

• A curiosity/eagerness for learning

• The ability to solve problems working backwards from goals
• To invent and simplify processes

The role requires:

• A keen sense of ownership
• Scrappiness and initiative
• A track record of executing in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and limited resources

We are looking for an account manager with a proven track record in tech sales, building and leading customer acquisition. You should have:

• A passion for innovative startups and the latest technology trends, especially GenAI, machine learning (ML), and virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR)
• An autonomous account manager mentality with a builder mentality
• Strategic thinking and a sense of urgency for operational excellence
• A self-starter attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to work collaboratively with others in a fun, fast-paced environment

Key job responsibilities:

• Ensure customer satisfaction through business value creation
• Meet or exceed your quarterly and yearly goals
• Represent the company in professional events

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles
• Experience in sales/business development
• 8+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience
• Master's degree or above in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), or experience in defining and creating benchmarks for assessing GenAI model performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience with partner sales and/or alliance development in the software/technology industry
