Role Description

This role is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and enhancing company profitability within the injection molding and thermoforming industry. This role involves:

• Developing and executing strategic marketing plans
• Identifying new business opportunities
• Implementing solutions to overcome sales obstacles
• Leading and motivating a team of marketing, sales, and cost-estimating professionals
• Collaborating with engineering and procurement teams to optimize pricing and quoting strategies
• Engaging regularly with potential customers
• Tracking sales progress and negotiating with suppliers

The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with a background in industrial sales, injection molding, and estimating, possessing strong leadership, analytical, and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering
• Previously completed coursework in sales/marketing, plastics, estimating, engineering, injection molding and/or finance and accounting
• 6 to 8 years of experience including quoting, injection molding and/or industrial sales
• Takes initiative; driven to get things done
• Responds well to pressure
• Enthusiastic and personable
• Effectively multitasks in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborates with a diverse group of people
• Able to work remotely
• Adept at incorporating and adopting new technology
• Open to change, innovation and process improvements
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles and processes
• Able to complete ongoing training for sales, business development, management and/or engineering
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with a CRM system and quoting software
• This position is remote; however, the incumbent must live near a major airport.

Requirements

• Establish sales goals to expand market share and enhance company profitability
• Develop marketing plans and programs in coordination with company leadership to ensure profit growth and expansion of company products and services
• Explore new markets and develop strategies for successful entry into new markets
• Implement practical, timely solutions to remove obstacles to sales growth
• Motivate, train and lead a team of marketing, cost estimating and sales personnel
• Establish rapport quickly with potential customers and prospects
• Make regular customer sales calls and track sales funnel progress in HubSpot
• Develop and remain accountable to department KPIs and sales process
• Consult and collaborate with Engineering Manager on estimating & quoting of the company’s products
• Negotiate with outside suppliers to obtain best pricing on raw materials
• Travel is required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Company Description

Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver). A third facility in Longmont, CO (a suburb of Denver) provides in-house repair and fabrication of tools & dies.
