[Hiring] Account Manager @TLNT Group

Role Description

As an Account Manager, you’ll be the strategic owner of a portfolio of retainer accounts. You’ll lead a cross-functional delivery team, help clients make smart marketing decisions, and make sure they keep seeing value in the partnership. This is a fully remote role for candidates based in the U.S., reporting to the accounts leadership team, and a senior team member will support you as you ramp up.

• Keep your client portfolio healthy, with strong long-term retention.
• Spot early warning signs in your accounts and act on them before they become problems.
• Earn consistently high client satisfaction scores.
• Bring a clear, data-backed recommendation to every periodic business review.

What You’ll Own:

• Own a portfolio of retainer accounts as each client’s main strategic point of contact.
• Lead a team of channel specialists (SEO, paid search, web and content). Set priorities based on client goals and give specialists room to do their best work.
• Make sure deliverables match what was agreed with the client and keep scope clear. Bring any scope or pricing changes to leadership.
• Prepare and lead regular business reviews. Diagnose what’s driving results and propose concrete next steps.
• Turn campaign data into plain-language insights and action plans.
• Manage expectations openly, including pushing back when a request wouldn’t serve the client’s goals.
• Flag at-risk accounts early and work with leadership on retention plans.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as an Account Manager at a digital marketing agency, owning retainer client relationships end to end.
• Experience owning a book of $500K+ in annual retainer revenue.
• A track record of retaining and growing client accounts, backed by numbers (retention rate, NPS, revenue growth).
• Hands-on experience with SEO and paid search (Google Ads), plus familiarity with conversion optimization and content.
• Experience leading business reviews with clients and turning performance data into clear recommendations for business owners.
• Comfort with fast-paced, growing environments where processes are still being built.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organization and self-direction, with the ability to juggle several accounts at once.
• Confidence in direct conversations and in giving honest recommendations.
• Curiosity about marketing that goes beyond formal courses: you learn by reading, experimenting, and doing hands-on work.
• Based in the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to Have

• Agency experience in performance or growth marketing.
• Experience working with home services, service-based or local businesses.
• Experience in small, autonomous team structures.
