Role Description

We are seeking experienced Account Managers / Employee Benefits Professionals to support CareFirst BCBS during the Open Enrollment season. The selected candidates will conduct 10–15 Open Enrollment meetings per week, presenting health and ancillary benefits to business clients, HR teams, employees, and brokers. This role requires someone who can independently conduct Open Enrollment meetings from start to finish and has strong knowledge of the insurance/employee benefits industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Open Enrollment meetings for small, mid-size, and national employer groups.
• Present and explain available insurance benefits to employees and client groups.
• Explain medical, dental, vision, Rx, life, and disability benefits.
• Clearly explain differences between PPO, HMO, self-insured, and fully insured plans.
• Work with business owners, HR teams, brokers, and client representatives.
• Conduct approximately 10–15 meetings per week based on business needs.
• Travel to client locations for Open Enrollment meetings and occasional wellness events.
• Independently manage presentations and employee questions.
• Represent CareFirst professionally during client meetings.
• Complete meetings and enrollment activities with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant insurance/employee benefits experience.
• Active Life & Health Insurance Producer License – MUST HAVE.
• Previous experience conducting Open Enrollment meetings/presentations.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Health/Medical Insurance
  • PPO & HMO
  • Self-Insured & Fully Insured Plans
  • Prescription/Rx Benefits
  • Dental
  • Vision
  • Life & Disability
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to independently conduct Open Enrollment meetings from beginning to end.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.
