[Hiring] Principal Product Designer, Consumer @Toast

Toast is evolving — building on its B2B roots to become a bold force in B2C. Beginning in 2025, Toast will go all-in on consumer innovation, leveraging unique restaurant and guest data to create dining experiences that are as personal, relevant, and delightful as they are seamless. Our Local by Toast app is only the beginning. We want to transform the dining experience for guests. We'll add social features, exclusive deals, and various ways to pay. With AI, our aim is to make each visit incredible by ensuring dining is easy to navigate and memorable.

About this roll* (Responsibilities)

We’re looking for a Principal Designer with a proven track record of bringing extraordinary consumer experiences to life. You’ll be at the heart of our consumer push, transforming how millions of people discover and engage with dining.

• Visionary Leadership: Your influence will extend from initial strategy through to final design execution. With a service design mindset, you’ll bring big ideas, a commitment to excellence, and the discipline to deliver experiences that are both delightful and functional, setting the standard for Toast’s consumer experience.
• Craft and Execution: As both a leader and collaborator, you’ll elevate our team’s work by fusing your creativity with an exacting attention to detail. You have a vision bigger than yourself and the humility to see it realized in close partnership with other designers, product teams, and engineers. You understand how to bring experiences to life whether you’re designing in figma or in code.
• High Impact in a New Space: This isn’t just another role; it’s a rare opportunity to shape an end-to-end experience from the ground up in a company poised for innovation in consumer tech. • You’re just as excited by new as you are to ensure the end-to-end basic quality experience lives up to the hype - and you live for making that happen.
• You’re insistent on smooth interactions, transitions, haptics and advancing the boundaries of UI.
• You’re a tinkerer at heart - always up for trying new things to solve the most pressing JTBD.
