Role Description
Our client, a leading Medical manufacturing company, is looking for a Technical Writer. This is for an initial duration of 12 months and is a remote role.

Generate and release regulated end-user and service documentation for diagnostic hardware and software.

Documentation includes product manuals, addendums, field service manuals, change tracking, and approvals.

Develop and design instructional and informational content to ensure safe, appropriate, and effective use of products.

Requires concise, grammatically excellent topic-based writing.

Strong communication and organizational skills in working with multiple departments.

Comfortable writing in a content management system and managing content from draft reviews to final edits, approvals, and release.

Consult frequently with software developers, engineers, and customer-facing advocates.

Work closely with project teams, project management, product managers, and other technical documentation representatives.

Perform necessary support tasks: coordinate with internal customers, ensure regulatory compliance, and obtain approvals.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or related field.

3+ years of relevant experience.

Excellent writing skills, ensuring quality and technical accuracy of content in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Experience writing in a topic-based authoring system.

Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Requirements

Tool experience with SDL Tridion Docs (a plus).

Experience using DITA for Technical Documentation (a plus).

Experience writing for localization (a plus).
Benefits

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $40-42 per hour.
