Role Description

In this exciting position, the Spanish Multimedia Content Reviewer will be writing and reviewing linguistic content in Spanish from Spain to ensure the highest quality of accuracy for customers using the world's foremost multimedia platforms. With time, the Multimedia Content Reviewer will become the cultural ambassador for the Spanish market and will be expected to produce fully localized content and flag potential cultural issues with content types, wording, and articulate suggestions to make all content appropriate and relevant for the target markets.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in Media Marketing with an emphasis on Music Marketing, marketing localization, advertising and localization, combined with proven creative writing skills and exceptional attention to detail.

We are specifically seeking candidates with deep market expertise of Spain, who understand local consumer behavior, marketing trends, cultural nuances, media landscapes, and the music industry ecosystem. Candidates should also demonstrate strong awareness of contemporary music trends, genres, audience preferences, and pop culture relevant to their market.

In addition, candidates should be passionate about media, music entertainment, technology, and digital marketing ecosystems. This will be a 1-year part-time contract with the possibility of being extended after the contract ends.

Main Duties

• Localize, transcreate and adapt marketing music and media-related content to ensure maximum relevance, engagement and effectiveness for the Spanish audience while maintaining brand voice and messaging objectives.
• Write, review and optimize marketing-oriented copy across multimedia products, digital campaigns, promotional materials, and audience-facing communications with strong consideration for local market expectations and cultural relevance.
• Perform regular linguistic review of their own work as well as the work performed by other members of the localization team for all content types.
• Copy-edit and fact check content to ensure accuracy of content.
• Perform LQA (Localization QA) testing of any content published on live platforms (music and app descriptions, marketing material and marketing campaigns).
• Conduct market-specific research on local content treatment, content, product and terminology trends and best localization practices for the Spanish locale and market.
• Report on data and/or assets across a broad scope of media and content types.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the Spanish market, providing guidance on marketing language, local consumer preferences, media trends and culturally relevant messaging.
• Collaborate with global language team via virtual meetings and emails on content review tasks to ensure calibrating terminology and style, understanding trends and market specific insights, translations based on the market team's needs.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 2+ years of work experience in Media Marketing, Music Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising, Marketing Localization, Creative Copywriting or related fields, with proof of writing samples or marketing content contributions.
• Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content.
• Ability to quickly detect issues and inconsistencies from a massive sea of content and make sound judgement calls based on information at hand.
• Possesses deep familiarity with local media channels, marketing trends, digital platforms, entertainment industries and consumer culture within the Spanish market.
• Ability to own the Spanish language market and make confident linguistic decisions.
• Must be highly detail-oriented with ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Fluency in written and verbal English.
• Native-level fluency in Spanish (from Spain).
• Strong computer literacy, knowledge of iOS/macOS systems a plus.
• Well capable of typing in their native level language using a local (English) keyboard.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Collaborative; enjoys teamwork in a multicultural environment.
