[Hiring] Senior Proofreader @Inizio Evoke

Role Description

As a Senior Proofreader, you are responsible for checking and ensuring the quality of all materials for client review, for a submission, or for technical deployment. You are an expert in the English language, can ensure grammatical and spelling accuracy in all materials produced, and are proficient in AMA editorial style.

• Perform a clean read of a manuscript or layout.
• Ensure the manuscript or layout matches approved materials or a previous submission.
• Conduct side-by-side comparisons to ensure tech builds match the final creative.
• Review both digital and print pieces, including bigger and more complex jobs within deadlines.
• Provide supervisory oversight of the work queue and delegate work in the absence of the manager.
• Be detail-oriented, flexible, and able to manage changing priorities while working independently.
• Be proactive in problem-solving and work with cross-functional teams to resolve project issues.
• Actively prioritize your daily workload and communicate any known time constraints with project managers.

You will report to the Manager, Proofreading Operations. This is also a remote role that will require you to work Pacific Standard Time.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proofreading experience in an agency environment (healthcare/pharma marketing preferred).
• Experience proofreading both digital/interactive and print work.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical or healthcare terminology.
• Ability to mark up corrections using Adobe Acrobat tools and Microsoft Word documents.
• Demonstrate expertise in English grammar, spelling, and syntax.
• BA in Journalism, Writing, Communications, or similar.
• Proficiency in AMA style.

Compensation

$75,000 — $90,000 USD
