Role Description

Law360 is seeking a News Assistant to join our team. The position’s primary responsibilities are:

• Checking federal and state court dockets
• Monitoring regulatory databases and websites
• Pitching story ideas to editors
• Tracking congressional hearings and other noteworthy events

The job will eventually include opportunities to report and write some news articles.

Position hours: 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (ET), Monday - Friday

This role can be performed anywhere within the United States.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated research and writing skills
• Solid organizational skills

Requirements

• Media or publishing industry experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field (preferred)
