Our client aims to create high-quality, journalistic content that resonates with construction professionals. The focus is on educational, persona-specific articles addressing industry challenges and solutions without overt branding. Writers must be adept at conducting interviews with industry professionals, crafting compelling narratives, and adhering to detailed briefs. A background construction is a plus but not mandatory.
Scope
- Flexible based on the writer's availability, with a minimum of 20 hours per week, with potential to increase.
- Initial 6-month initial engagement with potential for extension based on performance.
- Writers may be responsible for producing 1-2 articles per week, depending on scope and complexity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth interviews with construction professionals (e.g., project managers) to gather insights.
- Write persona-driven content (1–2 articles per week) that explores industry challenges and solutions.
- Develop articles adhering to detailed client-provided briefs, ensuring tone and style consistency.
- Collaborate with Procore's content managers to refine content for clarity and impact.
- Potentially cold-call or contact professionals using a provided list of leads.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in journalism or professional writing, preferably within technical or B2B industries.
- Strong interview and research skills, with the ability to develop questions and adapt during interviews.
- Ability to work independently and produce high-quality content from brief to final draft.
- Familiarity with construction or related industries is advantageous but not required.
