Role Description

Are you a sharp business journalist who knows how to find a story, ask the right questions, and turn industry developments into compelling news? Key Media is looking for a Business Journalist to join our global editorial team, covering the mortgage industry for a highly engaged B2B audience. This is an opportunity to report on the people, companies, trends, and issues shaping the mortgage market — and to build a strong network of industry contacts along the way.

Working hours: US Eastern Time (ET)

What you'll do:

• Cover breaking B2B news within the mortgage industry as it unfolds.
• Liaise with journalists around the world to clarify the details of your assignments.
• Write content that is specifically targeted towards the background, interests, and language of our niche readers.
• Write in the style of our niche publications (for example, using language that is appropriate for the geographical markets that you are writing for).
• Develop a strong understanding of the language and vocabulary used by our readers.
• Meet company deadlines.

All of our content is published in English for a global B2B audience, so excellent written and verbal English is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in business journalism, ideally covering financial services, mortgages, or a related industry.
• An energetic business reporter who can engage with and interview high-level business leaders.
• Able to produce compelling, intelligent, and market-leading news content for a global audience.
• Passionate about writing on insurance topics.
• Equipped with a strong academic background, excellent English skills, and a keen eye for stories.
