Role Description
BDG is seeking a full-time remote or hybrid Associate Commerce Editor to join our growing Commerce and Affiliate Marketing team. The team consists of editors and business strategists who create the affiliate content across all of BDG’s sites, including Bustle, Elite Daily, Inverse, Mic, and Scary Mommy. These articles operate separately from each site’s editorial team and are written to generate revenue from sales of products featured in the articles.

- People Who Stage Homes Say These Cheap Things Make Your Home Look Way Better
- Bougie Clothes & Accessories On Amazon That Are Pure Genius
- This is what happens when a veterinary nutritionist creates dog food
- These Black Friday Deals Will Make You Feel Like The Smartest Shopper Out There
- The 70 Weirdest, Most Clever Things We Found Under $25 On Amazon
The Associate Commerce Editor’s day to day will include:
- Editing articles to ensure they uphold editorial standards and successfully generate revenue
- Researching products and product categories to create compelling and informative content
- Analyzing traffic and performance data
- Updating/optimizing legacy content to improve SEO and conversion rates
This role will cover a wide range of product categories, including home improvement, lifestyle, beauty, fashion, and technology.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in e-commerce or editorial—strong preference for background in affiliate content
- Ability to write and edit in a brand-aligned, engaging, and persuasive tone that encourages product discovery and conversions
- Strong analytical mindset—comfortable reviewing performance data and making content optimizations based on key metrics
- Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress or custom publishing tools
- Some experience managing writers
- Experience using affiliate platforms such as Amazon Associates
