[Hiring] 2026-27 NAHL Writing Intern @North American Hockey League

Role Description

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) is seeking writing/editorial content interns for the 2026-27 season. Collaborating with the NAHL media team, this is a writing-intensive position as the candidates will publish written material on the NAHL, NA3HL and NAPHL websites and published materials at league events. Candidates must be organized, responsible, professional, and punctual.

• Write NAHL & NA3HL game recaps
• Research and write NAHL, NA3HL & NAPHL commitment stories for use on league websites
• Feature stories on players, coaches and staff for website and printed publications
• Intern may interact with executives, management, players, coaches, and staff of NAHL member clubs. The candidates will be expected to act in a professional manner at all times

Qualifications

• Previous sports-writing experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of the sport of hockey (preferred)
• Experience writing in the AP Style
• Time management skills and the ability to track multiple games/projects at once
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and game nights as assigned
• Strong communication skills in collaboration with the NAHL media team
• Interns are able to receive college credit if applicable.
