[Hiring] Business Travel Consultant @Flight Centre

Role Description

Are you an experienced Travel Consultant who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment? We're looking for a customer-focused travel professional to join our dedicated 24/7 servicing team supporting a large corporate account. This is not an emergency assistance or on-call role. Instead, you'll provide continuous travel servicing around the clock, delivering expert solutions and exceptional traveller experiences. You'll work remotely from anywhere in the UK while being part of a collaborative team that values expertise, attention to detail, adaptability, and outstanding customer service.

You will have a desire for learning, consistently think ahead to identify business needs and take proactive steps to improve efficiencies. You will bring your energy, passion and ‘think different’ attitude to any challenge and be able to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders—working both independently and in a team environment. You will be attentive to client and traveller needs.

Shift Pattern:

• 4 on 4 off shift pattern
• 12-hour shifts from 08:00 to 20:00 or 20:00 to 08:00

What you'll do:

• Deliver exceptional travel consultancy services for a large corporate client within a 24/7 servicing environment.
• Manage complex domestic and international travel bookings using GDS technology.
• Provide expert travel advice and itinerary management support to travellers.
• Apply strong fares knowledge to identify accurate and cost-effective travel solutions.
• Handle travel disruptions, itinerary changes, and urgent requests efficiently and professionally.
• Build trusted relationships with travellers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Anticipate customer and business needs and proactively identify service improvements.
• Maintain a consistently high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all bookings and transactions.
• Operate confidently and independently during overnight shifts where support is limited.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across day and night operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Travel Consultant.
• Corporate or business travel experience strongly preferred.
• Strong GDS experience required.
• Experience using Amadeus GDS preferred.
• Extensive travel industry knowledge.
• Strong fares knowledge.
• Proven ability to manage complex travel bookings.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Strong customer service mindset and commitment to traveller satisfaction.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Positive, adaptable, and open-minded approach.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Additional language skills desirable.
