[Hiring] Supply Chain Manager @Blueland

Role Description

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative Supply Chain Manager to play a key role in supporting Blueland’s growing Marketplace business, with a significant focus on Amazon. This role will be responsible for ensuring we have the right inventory, in the right place, at the right time to support Marketplace demand while balancing service levels, inventory health, and working capital.

The Supply Chain Manager will own supply and inventory planning for the Marketplace channel, translating demand forecasts into actionable production, purchasing, and inventory deployment plans. This person will report to the Director of Supply Chain and work closely with our Marketplace team, contract manufacturers, packaging suppliers, and broader Operations team to proactively identify supply risks and ensure inventory is available to support both base business and key promotional events.

A critical component of this role will be leveraging deep Amazon experience to manage the unique planning requirements of the channel, including inventory positioning, replenishment, promotional planning, and maintaining healthy inventory levels across Amazon’s network.

Responsibilities

• Own supply and inventory planning for Blueland’s Marketplace channel, primarily Amazon, ensuring inventory is positioned appropriately to support sales, promotions, and growth.
• Translate demand forecasts into monthly and weekly production, purchasing, and inventory deployment plans.
• Develop manufacturing plans with contract manufacturers, taking into consideration demand requirements, production capacity, lead times, MOQs, material and availability.
• Partner closely with the Marketplace team to incorporate Amazon-specific requirements, promotional events, Prime Day, seasonal peaks, launches, and other demand drivers into supply plans.
• Monitor Amazon inventory levels, weeks of supply, inbound inventory, sell-through, and replenishment needs to proactively identify potential out-of-stocks or excess inventory.
• Develop inventory allocation and replenishment strategies across Amazon and Blueland’s warehouse network to maintain appropriate service levels while balancing working capital objectives.
• Manage production priorities and communicate forecasts, purchase requirements, and changing business needs to contract manufacturing partners.
• Partner with packaging suppliers to forecast material requirements, place or coordinate purchase orders, and ensure packaging availability supports manufacturing plans.
• Monitor raw material, packaging, work-in-process, and finished goods availability to identify potential constraints before they impact production or customer availability.
• Manage PO issuance and track inbound materials and finished goods, proactively escalating and mitigating delays.
• Partner cross-functionally with Demand Planning, Marketplace, Finance, Logistics, and Operations teams as part of the Sales & Operations Planning process.
• Support new product launches, transitions, promotions, and discontinuations by developing supply plans and identifying inventory risks and mitigation strategies.
• Analyze forecast changes, inventory trends, production performance, and supplier constraints to recommend adjustments to the supply plan.
• Maintain accurate planning parameters, item data, lead times, MOQs, and other supply planning inputs within Blueland’s systems.
• Drive continuous improvement across supply planning processes, tools, reporting, and supplier collaboration.
• Coordinate with co-packing vendors on build needs for pre-kitted marketplace inventory, sharing monthly priorities and forecasts while monitoring component inventory levels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct Amazon supply chain, inventory planning, or replenishment experience, with a strong understanding of the operational requirements of the Amazon channel.
• 5+ years of Supply Chain, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, or related experience, ideally within CPG or a fast-growing omnichannel consumer brand.
• Experience translating demand forecasts into production and inventory plans.
• Experience working directly with contract manufacturers and/or external manufacturing partners to manage production schedules, capacity, and inventory requirements.
• Experience planning packaging or raw material requirements and working with external suppliers.
• Strong understanding of inventory management concepts, including safety stock, lead times, service levels, inventory turns, and weeks/days of supply.
• Proven ability to identify supply and inventory risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and organized with the ability to manage large amounts of data while maintaining accuracy.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and adjusting plans as demand, production capacity, and business priorities change.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex planning information into clear recommendations and actions.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and hold external partners accountable to commitments.
• Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel required.
• Experience with NetSuite and supply/demand planning systems preferred.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $110,000-115,000 per year.
