[Hiring] Strategic Sourcing Assistant @SGS

Role Description

The Strategic Sourcing Assistant supports the Vice President, Procurement with administrative, P2P, analytical, review, evaluation, and coordination activities, and supports the Procurement Manager with sourcing data, RFx events, supplier reviews, and assigned procurement categories.

• Strategic Sourcing Support:
  • Supports the Vice President with administrative coordination, P2P activities, reviews, quick evaluations, follow-up actions, and procurement communications.
  • Supports the Procurement Manager by collecting and analyzing spend, supplier, pricing, and category data and preparing summaries and recommendations.
  • Coordinates RFx activities by gathering requirements, preparing documents, supporting RFI, RFP, and RFQ launches, and tracking responses, clarifications, deadlines, and approvals.
  • Assists with real estate, travel, fleet, facilities, operating supplies, logistics, and other categories through research, benchmarking, evaluations, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Supports requisitions, purchase orders, invoice issue resolution, trackers, reports, dashboards, presentations, and procurement file maintenance.
  • Assists with supplier evaluations, bid comparisons, savings validation, sourcing implementation, and action-item follow-up.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
• Supplier Management:
  • Supports supplier relationship and performance reviews by compiling reports, issues, action items, and evaluation information.
  • Coordinates review meetings, collects information, documents decisions, and tracks agreed actions.
  • Reviews supplier reporting to help validate Service Level Agreements (SLAs), pricing, and key performance indicators.
  • Maintains issue logs, follows up on open items, and escalates material concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of procurement-related experience.
• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM). (Preferred)

Requirements

• Strong planning, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, virtual and dynamic environment.
• Must be detail-oriented and comfortable working on your own initiative.
• Excellent MS Office Excel skills, including creating and manipulating pivot tables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with eSourcing and eBuying tools, SharePoint.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn findings into executable plans to meet business objectives.
• Ability to work collaboratively with both suppliers and key stakeholders.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service, identifying, understanding and meeting internal/external stakeholder expectations.

Benefits

• Salary: $64,900 to $72,000 CAD
