Role Description

This Senior Supply Chain Supervisor role is accountable for the strategic and operational management of a key kit pack-out supplier based in Europe and for the performance and results of the assigned supply chain team. This role serves as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, the contract supplier, and critical sub-suppliers to ensure continuity of supply, operational excellence, cost competitiveness, and successful execution of new product launches.

The Senior Supply Chain Supervisor establishes departmental priorities and drives supplier and team performance through:

• Proactive relationship management
• Execution of sourcing strategies
• Risk mitigation
• Capacity planning
• Cross-functional coordination

Responsibilities include:

• Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Serve as the primary business owner for the Poland-based kit pack-out supplier.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships focused on performance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead regular business reviews to evaluate supplier performance, capacity, quality, delivery, cost management, risks, and improvement priorities.
  • Establish, monitor, and communicate supplier scorecards.
  • Lead contract manufacturing and supplier performance discussions with executive-level supplier leadership.
• Sub-Supplier Management:
  • Provide direction and oversight for critical sub-suppliers.
  • Monitor sub-supplier capacity, lead times, and inventory health.
  • Partner with internal strategic sourcing team to identify alternate sourcing strategies.
  • Drive supplier development initiatives to improve quality and operational performance.
• New Product Introduction & Product Launch Management:
  • Lead end-to-end supply chain readiness for new product introductions.
  • Coordinate launch activities between engineering, product management, planning, procurement, logistics, and the pack-out supplier.
  • Develop and track launch timelines.
  • Anticipate, assess, and resolve risks that may impact launch timing or product availability.
• Supply Chain Execution:
  • Collaborate with planning and operations teams to ensure demand requirements are met.
  • Monitor supplier capacity and production schedules.
  • Set priorities and direct resolution of material shortages and quality issues.
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining high service levels.
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics and implement improvement actions.
  • Own short- and medium-term planning for the assigned area.
  • Lead the selection, onboarding, and performance management of assigned staff.
  • Ensure department staff is properly trained before assuming job responsibilities.
  • Coordinate work and resource priorities with other senior supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field/or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of experience in Supply Chain industry.
• 2-4 years of experience in medical device manufacturing.
• Experience in an FDA/GMP/ISO environment.

Requirements

• Experience managing external manufacturing, fulfillment, or kit pack-out suppliers.
• Proven track record of managing supplier performance and driving operational improvements.
• Experience supporting product launches and new product introductions.
• Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in ERP and supply chain planning systems.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Skilled at effectively communicating department or area issues and results.
• Skilled at leading a cooperative team and organizing resources to achieve departmental objectives.
