[Hiring] Procurement Analyst II @BAE Systems

Role Description

This position can be conducted 100% remotely. As a Distribution Sourcing Analyst, you will support our preferred distribution suppliers, ensuring that materials and services arrive on time, on spec, and on budget.

You will serve as a critical link between our program requirements and our global distribution partners. Your responsibilities include:

• Strategic Sourcing & Execution: Lead procurement activities for complex programs, managing assigned commodities and assisting distribution partners in translating technical specifications into precise purchase orders.
• Portfolio Management: Own the lifecycle of the procurement process, from preparing and reviewing proposals to selecting suppliers and administering awards.
• Market Strategy: Analyze forecasted spend, demand trends, and marketplace volatility to develop sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Expert Negotiation: Act as the lead negotiator for purchase order modifications and resolve complex invoicing issues while ensuring value and quality.
• Compliance & Analysis: Serve as the subject matter expert for Procurement Compliance and Cost/Price Analysis, ensuring all transactions meet corporate and regulatory standards.
• Supplier Development: Drive supplier engagement and production ramp-ups, focusing on quality, performance, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve contractual and performance issues with suppliers.
• Project / Supplier Management or applicable experience in an equivalent context.
• Financial acumen in quoting, P&L, and operating margin.
• Familiarity with Oracle purchasing system.
• Established proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams.
• Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations and flow down requirements.
• Knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations.
• Understanding of CPSR audits and requirements.
• Comprehensive understanding of subcontractor solicitations and bid analysis/process.

Requirements

• 2 or more years’ experience in operations, supply chain, or procurement.
• Understanding of defense aerospace industry & regulations and the role of procurement.
• Working knowledge of multifaceted electronics design & manufacturing environments.
• Desire for continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Generosity of thought and knowledge.
• Moderate Technical Acumen (Ability to interpret drawing requirements).
