The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services within the Supply Chain Business Unit. This is a virtual position and can be located anywhere in the United States.

The Category Manager, Logistics Services manages a portfolio of third-party transportation, fleet, couriers, and related logistics services. Reporting to the Director of Supply Management, this position partners with internal clients, Supply Management colleagues, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to develop category strategies, lead sourcing and negotiations, manage supplier performance, and improve cost, service, efficiency, and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Professional certification (e.g. C.P.M., CPSM, CIRM, CPIM, etc.) preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Experience managing third-party spend within a large organization preferred.

• Solid leadership skills that include advanced collaboration and influence skills.
• Ability to develop business cases, presentations & stakeholder communications.
• Ability to work on a team.
• Some travel may be required.
