Role Description
The Manager, Category Leadership - Amazon will serve as the strategic category and analytics partner for Campbell's Meals & Beverages business at Amazon. This individual will develop a deep understanding of the Amazon shopper, digital path to purchase, competitive landscape, category performance, and portfolio growth opportunities. This position will translate complex data into clear, category-first recommendations that strengthen decision-making and support profitable growth.
This role combines core CPG Category Management capabilities with Amazon-specific expertise across digital discovery, assortment, content, conversion, pricing, availability, and innovation. The position is designed as an insights-led strategic partner that identifies opportunities, shapes strategy, and influences action through cross-functional collaboration.
This is a remote position. Open to all geographies.

Category Strategy and Leadership

Serve as the category authority for Amazon, bringing a category-first, shopper-centered perspective to customer and internal recommendations.

Develop category reviews, business assessments, and strategic recommendations that identify growth opportunities for Amazon, shoppers, the total category, and the Campbell portfolio.

Translate eCommerce dynamics, including search, digital content, retail media, availability, and ratings & reviews, into actionable account strategies.

Serve as an Amazon digital category expert for Home Office and cross-functional partners, helping strengthen organizational capability and decision-making.

Digital Shelf and Shopper Analytics

Analyze Amazon shopper behavior and the digital path to purchase, with particular emphasis on keywords, search visibility, findability, traffic, variation strategy and conversion.

Evaluate category and item performance using retailer, syndicated, panel, shopper, consumer, sales, and digital-commerce data.

Diagnose drivers of share, velocity, assortment, pricing, promotion, availability, content quality, and conversion, and recommend clear actions.

Monitor competitive activity and emerging eCommerce trends to identify risks, opportunities, and business implications.

Assortment, Innovation, and Portfolio Optimization

Develop fact-based assortment and portfolio recommendations, including pack-size, multipack, bundle, and variety-pack opportunities.

Build persuasive incrementality and innovation stories for internal and external audiences, supported by clear shopper, category, and financial rationale.

Establish performance expectations for innovation and conduct post-launch assessments to identify learnings and recommended next steps.

Partner with Sales and cross-functional teams to prioritize opportunities with the greatest potential business impact.

Performance Management and Storytelling

Build and maintain recurring dashboards, scorecards, and post-event analyses that convert performance data into actionable insights.

Create executive-ready and Amazon-facing presentations that communicate complex findings with clarity, confidence, and a compelling strategic narrative.

Provide analytical support for customer meetings, business reviews, annual planning, and strategic initiatives.

Manage multiple priorities and ad hoc requests while maintaining focus on the highest-value strategic work.

Cross-Functional Partnership

Collaborate closely with Amazon Sales, Omni Commerce, Commerce Marketing & Strategy, Shopper & Consumer Insights, Revenue Growth Management, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Data & Analytics.

Clarify or modify roles, responsibilities, and decision rights across functions to promote efficient ways of working and reduce duplication.

Build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders through strong business judgment, fact-based recommendations, and effective communication.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Economics, or a related field.

Six or more years of experience in CPG, Category Management, eCommerce analytics, shopper insights, customer analytics, or a related field.

Strong analytical capabilities, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to interpret complex data sets.

Demonstrated ability to translate data into clear, persuasive business stories and retailer-ready recommendations.

Experience working with category, shopper, consumer, sales, retailer, or digital-commerce data.

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor communication to customer, cross-functional, and executive audiences.

Proven ability to collaborate across functions, manage multiple priorities, and contribute positively within a team environment.
Requirements

Experience supporting Amazon within a CPG, retail, or eCommerce environment.

Experience with digital-commerce platforms and tools such as Stackline and Pacvue.

Proficiency with syndicated data and insights tools such as Circana, Numerator, Mintel, or Power BI.

Familiarity with Amazon search, digital shelf, content, conversion, ratings and reviews, and retail media analytics.

Experience in food, beverage, grocery, or shelf-stable CPG categories.
-
Ability to travel approximately 10% to 20%.
Compensation and Benefits
-
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $112,700-$155,000.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.

Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
