Role Description
Grüns is growing fast and we need people who think clearly, move quickly, and help us stay ahead of the curve as we scale. This is a role for someone who wants to be in the room where it happens — not just supporting the work, but driving it. As a Strategy & Analytics Associate, you'll be the analytical engine behind some of our biggest growth bets — embedded inside the business, not above it. You'll own problems end-to-end, from framing the question to driving the answer into action. This role reports directly to our Director of BizOps and sits at the center of how Grüns makes decisions.
This role is part of our remote HQ! We have a fully remote, high-trust work environment - and also come together on a biannual basis for amazing off-sites where we can connect IRL.
-
Identify high-impact business challenges and opportunities, structure them as problems worth solving, and drive analysis that leads to a clear recommendation — not just a report.
-
Build and own financial models that forecast the impact of new strategies, pricing decisions, and growth initiatives, and hold yourself accountable to measuring actual performance against those forecasts.
-
Partner directly with senior leaders across retail, DTC, marketing, and operations to answer their hardest questions — and proactively surface the questions they haven't thought to ask yet.
-
Design and run tests: develop hypotheses, build the analytical framework, execute, and translate results into decisions the business can act on.
-
Own ad hoc analysis and KPI reporting for key stakeholders — building infrastructure that becomes a lasting resource, not a one-time deliverable.
-
Support new product and pricing strategy with modeling and market analysis.
-
Evaluate new growth channels and optimize existing ones across our DTC and retail business.
Qualifications
-
BS/MS Degree in a quantitative or computational field.
-
4+ years experience in data analytics in corporate, consulting, or investment banking.
-
Exceptional communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences, able to influence your partners using clear, concise insights and recommendations through strong data-driven analyses.
-
High proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
-
Expertise with SQL, with R and/or Python knowledge preferred.
-
Exceptional thought partnership skills, able to own direct relationships with stakeholders and build credibility through clarity and judgment.
-
Strong statistical skills and intuition for solving problems in both consumer-facing and internal product areas.
-
Experience with Cloud Computing (Google Cloud) platforms preferred.
Requirements
-
You don't wait to be handed a problem — you go find it, frame it, and bring back a recommendation.
-
You move between deep analytical work and senior stakeholder conversations without missing a beat.
-
You thrive in ambiguity and resource-light environments — "we don't have a process for that yet" sounds like opportunity, not friction.
-
You hold yourself to a high standard of intellectual honesty — you'd rather deliver an uncomfortable truth than a comfortable slide.
-
You move fast without cutting corners on rigor, and you understand that speed and quality aren't opposites.
-
You're energized by working on a product you believe in and a team that holds itself to a high bar.
Compensation & Benefits
-
Base salary range is $120,000-$135,000 depending on experience.
-
Comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and growth of our team.
