Role Description
We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Director to join our Life Sciences Strategy & Intelligence practice. This is a senior leadership role responsible for guiding client engagements, developing team capabilities, and shaping the strategic direction of our work.

Provide senior oversight across multiple client engagements, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, strategic, and actionable insights.

Elevate team outputs by sharpening the “so what” and tying insights to client business priorities.

Serve as a senior thought partner and escalation point for client stakeholders.

Ensure all deliverables meet Sedulo’s highest standards of quality, professionalism, and polish.

Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative team environment.

Act as a therapeutic area and competitive intelligence subject matter expert, serving as a sounding board for teams.

Drive structured development through coaching, feedback, and structured growth opportunities.

Support business development efforts including proposal development, pitch participation, and opportunity shaping.

Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and deliver additional value.

Represent Sedulo in client interactions, workshops, and industry settings.

Drive delivery and operational excellence across engagements, including project structuring, resourcing, and workflow management.

Champion innovation in delivery through the integration of AI, automation, tools, and new deliverable formats.

Continuously refine internal processes and methodologies to scale quality, consistency, and efficiency.

Actively contribute to project work when needed, including research design, insight generation, and deliverable development.

Demonstrate a willingness to roll up sleeves and engage deeply in complex or nuanced workstreams.

Provide hands-on guidance in high-priority or challenging engagements.

Support and participate in client workshops, including competitive strategy discussions and scenario planning exercises.

Translate insights into interactive, decision-oriented implications that drive client action.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences discipline required (Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related field).

Advanced degree strongly preferred (MS, PhD, MBA).

6–10+ years of experience in life sciences consulting, competitive intelligence, or strategic insights roles.

Proven experience leading teams and overseeing complex client engagements.

Experience in a client-facing role, with an appreciation for the dynamics of client service, delivery excellence, and stakeholder management.

Exposure to pharma workshops or strategic engagements such as scenario planning or competitive discussions.

Broad knowledge of clinical development, commercialization, product launch, and lifecycle management across therapeutic areas.
