[Hiring] Web Developer @SEO Sherpa

Role Description

We are looking for a talented full-stack web developer to join our team at SEO Sherpa. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning and executing delivery of website improvements and updates.

• Execute tasks including speed optimization, user experience improvements, custom tracking scripts, and landing page builds.
• Integrate closely with the SEO and paid search teams by implementing performance recommendations on client’s websites.
• Deploy technical improvements and customizations on various content management systems, including but not limited to WordPress, Shopify, Magento, and custom builds.
• Monitor and maintain clients’ website health by tracking and fixing issues as they arise.
• Maintain optimum site health while enhancing functionality, UX, and performance to drive organic traffic and revenue growth.
• Accountable for a portfolio of websites with regular monitoring and maintenance to ensure superior performance and minimize errors and downtime.

Note - this position is remote, but it requires collaboration with other team members. Applicants residing in time zones of 4 hours +/- of Dubai (GST) will be considered for that purpose.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of customizing, updating, and maintaining web-standard CMSs like WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, and others.
• Experience with backend and frontend technologies, including Javascript frontend frameworks/SPAs and other emerging technologies.
• Ability to create well-documented, reusable code for website improvements, custom theme development, plugin creation, and automation.
• Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and trends, with a passion for sharing insights with team members.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for conveying ideas to teammates and clients.
• Willingness to share strategic opinions and recommendations.
• Superior problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex problems and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines without micromanagement.
• Proactive in finding solutions and anticipating potential issues.
• Ability to thrive in a rapid-paced environment and adapt to constant change.
• Experience improving and maintaining sites ranging from a few hundred pages to hundreds of thousands of URLs.
• A fun-going attitude is essential to fit in at SEO Sherpa.
