Role Description

AEM development role for problem solvers and technology enthusiasts who can support VML client projects across both existing products and new development efforts. This person should produce high-quality code, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, estimate work, document recommendations, and contribute to evolving development best practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years AEM development experience
• Enterprise CMS experience
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• React or Angular
• Sightly/HTL
• REST API integrations
• Git/GitFlow
• Agile development experience
• Adobe Experience Cloud knowledge preferred

Requirements

• 2+ years implementing AEM solutions, including templates, components, and web console configuration
• 2+ years working with enterprise content management systems
• 2+ years developing web-based applications
• Proven experience as an application developer
• Familiarity with architectural styles and design patterns
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Comprehensive understanding of Agile methodologies
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple tasks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Competency with Adobe CQ/AEM APIs such as Sites, Apps, Assets, Forms, and Commerce
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, component architecture, atomic design principles, mobile-first development, responsive design, SEO, and accessibility best practices
• Experience with Sass, SCSS, LESS, Adobe Experience Cloud, Analytics, Mobile Services, LiveCycle, RESTful web services, Git/GitFlow, Webpack, Mocha/Jest, linting, automated testing, and Java server-side programming

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver web experiences on Adobe Experience Manager
• Collaborate with management, analysts, designers, and clients to identify end-user requirements and specifications
• Develop AEM components and templates using Touch UI, Sightly/HTL, Angular, React, Granite, and Coral UI Foundation
• Participate in code reviews and peer pull request reviews
• Produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements
• Test, deploy, troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve applications
• Assess user feedback to improve application performance
• Iterate over solutions in response to client feedback
• Contribute technical documentation for future development projects
• Learn new technology practices to better support current and future work
