[Hiring] Technical Solutions Engineer @Stripe

Role Description

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. The Technical Solutions Engineering (TSE) team supports developer-users and champions developer experience.

TSEs understand programming fundamentals and engage with developers to:

• Explain technical concepts about Stripe’s products.
• Build and debug integrations with developers.
• Produce/improve guides to help users solve problems.

Early on, team members will teach you about Stripe, its services, and user interactions. Later, you will take on this role with others, reinforcing your knowledge through teaching.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of full-stack software development experience.
• Direct experience explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to write good, clean code in multiple programming languages.
• Ability to help users during working hours, including occasional weekend coverage.

Requirements

• Communicate with external developers in various programming languages (Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, Go, NodeJS, .NET, ReactJS, React Native, Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java for Android).
• Unblock developers with integration challenges via email, ticketing software, community platforms, and real-time chat software.
• Develop and maintain internal and external documentation, examples, integration demos, and code snippets.
• Identify friction points for developers and collaborate with engineering teams to improve Stripe products.
• Develop and maintain internal support tooling for TSE and Stripe Support.
• Act as a developer advocate and educational resource by assembling training for non-developers and responding to integration questions.
