[Hiring] Technical Architect - Platform - Migration Specialist - VMWare @Quantiphi

Role Description

As a Solution Architect - Platform Engineering at Quantiphi, you will be instrumental in our Platform Engineering team, leading the delivery of advanced solutions in:

• Application Development
• Platform Engineering
• Data Engineering
• Analytics
• Machine Learning

This role requires experience in workload migration from on-premise datacenter environments to AWS, enabling clients to leverage the full potential of cloud capabilities.

Qualifications

• AWS Cloud Migration (EC2, EBS, VPCs, Migration Hub, MGN)
• VMware environment assessment & migration planning
• Wave planning, dependency analysis, stakeholder engagement
• Strong AWS architecture, security, and compliance knowledge

Requirements

• Understanding of different Migration approaches (Rs) with recent experience
• Experience with on-prem VMware/other platform based Virtual Machine Lift and Shift (REHOST) migration to AWS EC2 instance based architectures
• Previous work experience with tools like Cloud Endure, Double-Take, AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Server Migration Service (SMS), and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)
• Expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, auto-scaling, Landing Zone, and Control Tower
• Proficiency in using AWS Migration Evaluator and Portfolio Assessment tools to analyze migration strategies
• Well-versed in service-oriented architecture and cloud-based web services architecture, design patterns, and frameworks
• Good understanding of Windows or Linux OS; experience with troubleshooting Linux/Windows OS issues while migrating
• Strong knowledge of cloud-related services such as compute, storage, network, and messaging (e.g., SNS, SQS)
