Role Description

The Technical Architect (Frontend/Backend) is responsible for establishing the technical foundation and ensuring architectural coherence across all distinct application layers:

• High-performance, customer-facing e-commerce UI
• Secure internal administrative applications
• Specialized AI agent interaction interfaces

This role is highly hands-on, focused on bridging the gap between high-level architectural design and implementation across the full stack.

Internship Details

• Duration: 3 months (extendable based on performance and project scope)
• Start Date: Immediate
• Location: Remote
• Stipend: Unpaid initially; may convert to a paid internship, full-time role, or even direct client absorption (FTE) based on your performance

Key Responsibilities & Core Projects

• Lead the technical strategy for our application layers, ensuring robust, scalable, and API-first development practices.
• Establish the technical foundations for all applications, leveraging:
  • Next.js 14
  • React 18
  • Tailwind CSS for the frontend
  • Node.js 22 (NestJS) modular monolith for the backend
• Design and document the API-first architecture for seamless communication within monolithic modules and externally.
• Select and standardize frameworks and libraries (e.g., Radix UI, Framer Motion) for consistency, performance, and maintainability.
• Create comprehensive system diagrams and document all major architectural decisions.
• Enforce high code quality and testing standards across the organization, leading technical strategy workshops and mentoring developers.

Required Technologies & Tools

• Frontend Mastery: Next.js 14, React 18, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, Framer Motion
• Backend Expertise: Node.js 22 (NestJS Modular Monolith), TypeScript
• Architecture & Workflow: Monorepo structure, API design (REST/GraphQL), CI/CD via Makefile, Automated Testing Pipelines
• Data & Auth Knowledge: Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, and JWT-based tenant-aware authentication (Authentik/Ory Kratos)

AI Agent Focus

• Define frontend patterns and API integration points for AI agent interfaces, ensuring high usability and real-time feedback.
• Architect backend services that enable AI agents to interact with in-house SaaS tools.
• Ensure architectural compatibility with AI orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.

Mentorship Structure

Reports to the Solution Architect/Head of Technology, providing direct technical guidance and mentorship to Frontend and Backend Senior Developers.
