[Hiring] Tech Lead @Bloompath AI

Role Description

We are looking for a Tech Lead to take ownership of BloomPath's platform architecture and guide our engineering execution. In this role, you will act as the technical anchor for the engineering team. You will drive core architectural decisions, set engineering standards, and lead complex projects from technical design to production delivery. While you will remain deeply hands-on in the code, your impact will be measured by system reliability, architectural elegance, and the technical growth of the engineers around you. You will work directly with our CTO, Product team, and founders to translate business goals into scalable, production-grade technical solutions.

What You'll Do

• Technical Ownership & Architecture: Define the technical roadmap, make key architectural trade-offs, and own the design of multi-tenant APIs, data pipelines, and third-party integrations.
• Hands-on Execution: Design, write, test, and maintain production code across TypeScript, Python, and GCP infrastructure.
• Engineering Excellence: Set and enforce high standards for code quality, automated testing, observability, security, and CI/CD practices.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Lead design reviews, perform critical code reviews, unblock team members, and mentor engineers to level up their technical skills.
• Production AI Systems: Architect grounded, observable, and evaluable AI capabilities into customer workflows using modern LLM frameworks and tracing tools.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Product and Leadership to break down complex business requirements into clear technical milestones.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives or teams as a Senior/Staff Engineer or Tech Lead.
• Proven track record of architecting and operating distributed, multi-tenant cloud platforms in production environments.
• Deep proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Python.
• Proven ability to balance immediate shipping velocity with long-term system maintainability and scalability.
• High autonomy and comfort managing technical ambiguity—you know how to break down broad goals into clear engineering execution.
• Strong communication skills with a track record of clearly articulating technical designs, trade-offs, and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must-Have:
• Experience deploying, evaluating, and monitoring LLM application architectures in production environments.
• Experience building software within regulated or high-compliance environments (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, ISO).
• Prior experience in an early-stage or high-growth startup environment.
