Role Description

As part of the core engineering team, you will design, build and own products that our users love and use on a daily basis. You will do this using Clojure(script), a functional programming language that truly makes developing software a joyful experience.

• Systematically designing, developing & deploying new products
• Taking strong ownership of the product and improving it based on customer feedback and product analytics
• Improving our culture and engineering/product practices
• Unblocking engineers by giving them technical direction and helping with future hiring, onboarding and growing the company
• Develop in (and learn) Clojure(script) and Python
• Question the status quo about the current practices and systematically reason about improvements

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in the industry
• Experience in building Single Page Applications using HTML/CSS, Typescript and a JS framework, preferably React.js
• Backend experience using technologies like Python, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, etc.
• Experience with or aspirations to learn functional programming practices
• Good understanding of modern web server-client architecture and concepts like REST based APIs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong autonomy about decisions within the development & design of the products
