[Hiring] Systems Integrator/Systems Integration Engineer @Rockwell Automation

Role Description

As a Systems Integration Engineer/Systems Integrator at OTTO By Rockwell Automation, you will be a part of the Systems Engineering (SE) team who works with our Project Management team within our professional services organization to deliver value to our end-users, channel partners, and OTTO.

• Design and implement fleets of OTTO autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and software at customer facilities.
• Deliver training to integration partners and end-users.
• Evaluate use cases to establish guidelines, standards, and best practices for OTTO Motors products.
• Contribute to defining product requirements and influencing the product roadmap.
• Commission and integrate AMR systems at client facilities worldwide, including on-site deployment and integration with facility automation equipment.
• Support detailed solutions design of AMR systems using OTTO products to meet customer requirements.
• Develop middle layer software logic using Ignition OPC/UA, FT Optix, and/or PLC logic design.
• Author and execute acceptance test plans for validation of system functionality and performance.
• Optimize system performance through analysis, simulation, and experimentation.
• Project planning for deliverables and work packages.
• Communicate technical details and status to customers and project teams.
• Consult with integration partners on all responsibilities.
• Troubleshoot software & hardware technical issues using internal tools.
• Author new product requirements based on lessons learned from design and commissioning activities.
• Work with the systems engineering team to improve tools, processes, and inter-department relationships.
• Provide Tier-3 advanced technical support to customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Offer after-business-hours rotational on-call escalation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field
• Legal authorization to work in Canada is required.
• Ability to travel for business within North America, Europe, and Asia; ~50 - 60% travel.
• A valid full driver's license.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant work experience including experience commissioning and integrating industrial automated equipment or software.
• Experience with AMR/AGV systems integration and Linux.
• Experience working directly with clients/end-users.
• PLC design and integration experience.
• Train users of automated equipment/software.
• Author and modify software code (Python, C++, or other).
• Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition OPC/UA software and/or FT Optix.
