Role Description

Reporting to the Systems Development Team Lead, the Systems Engineer II is a remote-based position responsible for various tasks, including writing code, administering cloud-based resources, database support, and more!

In this role, a typical day will consist of:

  • Owning customer provisioning from start to finish and leading the automation project that will make provisioning self-service for our Customer Success team.
  • Solving a new puzzle every day: Restoring specific database tables from nightly backups, fixing data issues, and helping customers through bulk uploads that didn't go to plan. Every request is its own small project.
  • Keeping your coding skills sharp by developing, maintaining, and supporting automated processes and services.
  • Supporting system migrations, backups, and recovery activities that keep customer data safe and available.
  • Building, optimizing, and supporting BI reporting solutions.
  • Turning customer business needs into practical technical solutions.
  • Using AI tools to work smarter and faster.
  • Growing into Azure cloud administration, infrastructure, and security and compliance work, depending on your experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field.
  • Hands-on software development experience (Microsoft Visual Studio preferred), plus a desire for a role where coding is one part of a varied mix rather than the whole job.
  • Confidence working with databases (Microsoft SQL Server preferred), including restoring data from backups, making data changes, and handling bulk data uploads.
  • Experience with business intelligence platforms such as Power BI.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
  • A collaborative, service-minded, and adaptable approach. You're comfortable partnering with non-technical teams, moving between different types of work, and you're committed to continued learning.
  • Bonus points for experience with process automation, Azure cloud services and infrastructure administration, or supporting SOC 2 or similar audits.

Requirements

  • Experience in software development and database management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off.
  • Medical/dental/vision insurance to eligible employees.
  • Bonus pay eligibility.
