[Hiring] Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform @StarTree

Role Description

Be a part of our team building an end-end solution around Apache Pinot. You'll get to work on cutting edge distributed systems (messaging, OLAP, stream processing) and be part of the innovation for 1 click analytics.

• Design, develop, and test distributed software applications.
• Design and implement fault tolerant systems to ensure service availability and guarantees in the presence of catastrophic failures.
• Evaluate and analyze requirements from other engineering teams for various applications.
• Coordinate with other teams to resolve urgent software issues in deployed services.
• Leverage various monitoring and alerting services to solve intricate programming problems at scale.

Qualifications

• Programming language concepts: Java, Go, Python
• Relational database concepts, familiarity with SQL
• Debugging and monitoring for production services
• Operating System Concepts: Networking, Multi-threading, POSIX
• UNIX/LINUX Scripting
• Dependency management tools such as Maven, Artifactory
• Source control system: git and svn
