Role Description

At Castlight, we are looking for a Staff Frontend Engineer to serve as a high-impact individual contributor across our consumer health products. You will architect and deploy white-labeled micro-frontends, obsess over the details that make web experiences feel exceptional, and operate with a fast-paced, high-agency mindset to solve critical user problems week after week.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience with deep mastery of modern JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS.
• Expert-level knowledge in Angular or equivalent deep mastery in modern React/Vue with a proven track record of quick technology adaptation.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining micro-frontend architectures and white-label design systems at scale.
• A sharp eye for UI design details, rendering performance, web vitals, and creating delightful user interactions.
• Strong track record as a high-impact individual contributor who can take ambiguous requirements and ship polished production code quickly.
• Ability to articulate complex architectural decisions and technical trade-offs to both engineering peers and business stakeholders.

• Frameworks are just tools in your belt. While our core ecosystem relies on Angular, you bring deep mastery in modern JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Vue, or Angular) and adapt quickly to tackle the next big challenge.
• You embrace nimble environments. You seek to eliminate operational friction where you can, push through obstacles when you must, and maintain a high standard of engineering excellence along the way.

Compensation Range

$131,243.00 to $196,865.00. The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
