Role Description

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting the digital future for leading global companies by transforming complex business processes into seamless, data-driven experiences. Accountabilities:

• Framework & Pipeline Development: Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and PySpark, while building reusable custom frameworks within cloud technologies such as AWS and Snowflake.
• Infrastructure Automation: Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform to automate cloud-based data environments and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless infrastructure deployment.
• Orchestration & Workflow Management: Develop and maintain data models, transformations, and orchestration workflows using Managed Airflow to ensure efficient data processing.
• Optimization & Performance: Proactively monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to maintain strict SLAs, while optimizing query performance, storage costs, and compute resources across the ecosystem.
• Data Governance & Observability: Ensure high data quality, observability, and lineage tracking, implementing best practices for monitoring and governing critical data assets.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing.
• Hands-on experience with the AWS suite (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift).
• Expertise in Snowflake performance tuning and schema design.
• Deep understanding of Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Extensive experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
• Proficiency in version control (Git) and the ability to implement CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Experience with any code-based ETL/ELT tools.
• Pragmatic problem-solver who can work independently in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively in fluent English.
• Solid grasp of data observability, monitoring, and governance best practices.
