Role Description

Our client is seeking a mid-level SQL/SSRS Report Developer to join its enterprise reporting team on a contract basis. The team supports a large portfolio of reporting solutions across the organization and is looking for an experienced developer to help manage an increasing project workload. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building and enhancing reports, writing complex SQL queries, and supporting reporting modernization initiatives. You will work alongside an established team to develop new reports, convert existing reporting assets, and assist with migrating reporting solutions to AWS. This is a hands-on development role with minimal administrative responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering high-quality reporting solutions in a collaborative Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.
• Convert and migrate SAP Business Objects (BO) reports into SSRS.
• Migrate on-premises SSRS reporting solutions to AWS-hosted environments.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SSRS.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and datasets.
• Perform data analysis, testing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure reporting accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and refine reporting requirements.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues and improve report performance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Follow organizational standards for documentation, security, governance, and change management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Strong experience writing advanced T-SQL queries and working with SQL Server.
• Experience configuring, deploying, and maintaining SSRS reports, including data source configuration.
• Experience testing, validating, and troubleshooting reporting solutions.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP Business Objects (BO), including report development or migration.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating SSRS reporting solutions to AWS.
• Experience optimizing report performance and SQL queries.
• Familiarity with enterprise reporting best practices and reporting governance.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise reporting environments.
