Responsibilities

• Build key product experiences using React/Next.js, JavaScript and TypeScript, Redux, React Router, Node.js, and Postgres.
• Take on a multi-faceted role from analysing requirements and conducting research to coding and documentation, shipping new features, refining apps' UI/UX to implement visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces, and optimising systems for scale.
• Most of your work will be focused on frontend development, and your ability to combine technical strength with design intuition will shine here.
• Integrate with various APIs like ChatGPT, AWS-SES, WhatsApp API and similar third-party services to enhance app functionality and achieve quick development of the functionality.
• Utilise Version Control Systems (e.g., Git, GitHub) to manage and track changes to the codebase.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance, scalability and cross-browser compatibility.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.

Requirements

• At least 1+ years of experience in React/Next.js, JavaScript and TypeScript, Redux, React Router, Node.js, and Postgres/NoSQL.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, software architecture and Clean Architecture Principles.
• Strong experience in JavaScript and TypeScript, async, streams and web-sockets.
• Experience using Design Systems ShadCN, Material UI, Aceternity and CSS frameworks - Tailwind.
• Experience with writing Rest APIs, Lambda serverless functions using JavaScript or Typescript.
• Strong emphasis on TypeScript type safety, including defining strict types across frontend and backend and using Zod for runtime schema validation of APIs, forms, and data contracts.
• Experience with Firebase, Directus or other similar backend-as-a-service platforms and local DB like IndexedDB.
• Strong understanding of any of the popular state management techniques (e.g., Redux, Zustand).
• Exposure to Utilities - Tanstack Query/Router/Table.
• Knowledge of Git, GitHub, and Jira.
• Experience with deploying and managing web Apps and backend on AWS, Amplify, EC2.
• Knowledge of building (CI/CD) pipelines and writing test scripts using Jest/Selenium.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Efficient communication skills and teamwork capabilities in a remote work environment.
• Open source contributions to Typescript projects and having built and published npm packages will be considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's in Computer Science or a similar degree.
• Relevant Tech Stack Certifications are advantageous.
