Role Description

Azure Resource Graph’s (ARG) mission is to reliably organize the planet-scale cloud inventory and make it accessible to every Azure customer through scalable and performant tools. ARG is the inventory of cloud resources, dependencies, services, apps, and Azure metadata, enabling almost all Azure experiences and workloads. It provides a single pane of glass to query cloud resources via flexible standards with rich scalable, efficient constructs.

Responsibilities include:

• Drive critical initiatives to help the platform scale to the growing needs of Azure.
• Responsible for the technical design and execution for building necessary underlying systems to enable high throughput query-ability or high throughput ingestion-services.
• Develop deep business acumen about Azure and mentor junior members by creating a sense of purpose on this mission.
• Responsibilities include the blended intersection of distributed systems, programming language runtime internals, and optional database internals to build the necessary infrastructure for Azure Inventory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience working knowledge of building true cloud-scale services.
• 2+ years of operational experience in running your service in one of the large-scale clouds like Azure, AWS, GCP.
• 1+ year(s) of experience in driving designs along with execution and accountability to deliver.
• Optional qualification of mentoring interns or early college hires in the team.
• Exercise the power of design patterns with practical knowledge of applying these patterns.
• Desire and drive for acquiring strong technical knowledge, maintaining a data and results-driven culture while closely working with cross-functional teams.
• Great team player and contributor to an open, honest, and inclusive approach to problem-solving accommodating diverse perspectives.

Benefits

• The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year.
• In specific locations like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
• Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
