[Hiring] Software Engineer II @Pantheon Systems

Role Description

Pantheon is building the next generation of web content infrastructure — a real-time, collaborative platform that redefines how teams create, publish, and manage content on the modern web. As a Software Engineer II on this team, you will be an early engineer on a founding-stage product with real momentum behind it. You will:

• Build features end-to-end.
• Contribute to architectural decisions.
• Work alongside a small, senior team that moves fast and cares deeply about craft.
• Help define what gets built and how.

You will work across the full stack — backend services, APIs, and frontend systems — building the core capabilities of a real-time collaborative content platform. This team is early-stage by design, and every engineer on the team has a meaningful voice in the product definition process.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Solid full-stack capability — you have shipped production code on both backend and frontend.
• Experience with modern API design: REST, GraphQL, or webhooks.
• Comfortable working in cloud-native environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Strong fundamentals: you write tests, understand tradeoffs, and think about maintainability.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend language.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• You are actively building with AI — using it in your development workflow or integrating it into the products you work on.

• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code with shared ownership of quality.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions as an active participant.
• Collaborate closely with product and design to translate requirements into working, well-crafted software.
• Integrate AI tooling into your development workflow and into the product itself.
• Participate in code review and help maintain a high engineering bar across the team.
